Swimsuit Strap Styles: What’s your favorite?

When it comes to performance and comfort, the straps of a swimsuit are key. After all, they keep the suit on.

Obvious fact: women have different body sizes, proportions, lines and angles. This was Morgan’s focus when she designed the See Her Swim suit collection. She also wanted to make sure every design worked for all activities – from swimming and surfing to playing in the sand. She used a variety of straps, chest and back styles to support all types of women’s bodies, no matter the movement.

“We’re always learning what combos of neckline and straps our clients want and will continue to grow with the feedback,” says Morgan.

So before you determine your favorite strap style, here’s the rundown on the straps featured in the See Her Swim collection:

Backstroke

Thick straps paired with solid underbust support offer extra security. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t look good. The v-neck brings the glamor, and the tie behind the neck helps the straps stay secure.

Freestyle

These straps straddle the line between thick and thin and the high neck helps keep everything in place with sun protection.

Breaststroke

Like the look of a thinner strap but want to feel confident in the support? The straps of this suit are adjustable to all body lengths and sizes. Wrap yourself up in your favorite bow and you’re good to go!

I.M.

Adjustable straps for the win! Thin but mighty, these straps work for a variety of body lengths and bust sizes.

Butterfly

These double-crossed straps for extra support stand out from traditional training suits, which have cute cutouts and a keyhole opening in the back.

Sidestroke

Like a water polo suit, with a twist. A front zipper makes it easier to get on and off. The T-back offers unlimited range of motion for shoulders and a wider neck opening prevents chafing.

We’ll leave you with one final thing to consider…tan lines!

Morgan has received many requests for higher necklines because women find that they want to protect their chests from the sun as they age. The Freestyle and Sidestroke suits do the trick.

As for the other styles, copy the pros and wear various styles to keep that tan nice and even.

These suits purposely fit tighter than standard suits because the fabric is more durable and long lasting. The goal is wanting them to mold to your body while staying in place during your every day training. The suit holds its shape and adds some compression to the body. If you like a more relaxed fit, order up a size. This is competitive swimsuit sizing.
