Fabric explained
When it comes to buying swimsuits, more people are looking for products that are environmentally conscious and made with sustainable materials.
Well, say hello to recycled polyester. Turns out, it’s the fabric we didn’t know we needed.
Polyester is a synthetic fiber derived from petroleum so environmentally-speaking, it scores a low grade. That’s why the recycled part is key.
Instead of ending up in landfills or the ocean, plastic waste like single-use water bottles is being regenerated into fabric. This fabric – you guessed it, recycled polyester – is extremely durable, doesn’t fade and holds its shape for years. It also stretches comfortably, is chlorine-resistant, and provides protection from UV rays.
Added environmental bonus: recycled polyester uses fewer resources and creates less CO2 emissions than producing new polyester.
So instead of buying several new suits each year, swimmers can feel good about investing in one or two suits made of recycled polyester that will last multiple years without sacrificing performance, fit or look.
All See Her Swim suits are made of a recycled polyester fabric from Italy.
