We like to call our swimsuits performance chic for two reasons. One, they look fabulous. Two, and just as important, our suits are made of a compression fabric.
Compression fabric first came on the swimsuit scene over twenty years ago when the Miraclesuit hit the market. Then, compression fabric was used to give women curves in the right places and create slimming lines.
Today, it’s used to enhance athletic performance. Compression fabric increases blood flow to the part of the body it’s worn on. That means more oxygen is brought to those muscles during activity. It also helps reduce swelling and muscle soreness post-workout.
The sustainable recycled polyester fabric our suits are cut from is thicker than lycra. It hugs the body instead of just laying flat. Our suits stay in place while swimmers move through the water. Looser body parts are held securely. Added bonus: our substantial fabric holds up longer in sun, salt and chlorine.
